WHO IS BEHIND THEDORKYFRENCH?
My name is Marlene Mamia, a little Frenchie currently living in the South of Scotland. I am passionate about vegan food, Crossfit, piano, photography, and painting.
And fun fact, I am also a private French and piano tutor in Scotland and online!
I have been vegetarian since summer 2017 and vegan since September 2017. Keep reading to know more about my story and why I went vegan!

HOW DID IT ALL START?
I first went vegetarian after taking a gap year in the United States in 2016. At this point, I was recovering from eating disorders and feeling very insecure in my own body and mind. I was uncomfortable with an animal based diet and decided to change things when becoming more conscious about my health, the animals, and the environment.
I always loved being behind the counter and I used to bake a lot as a kid. But rediscovering cooking on a plant-based diet was a whole new bliss and excitement. I was feeling better than ever, physically and mentally, on a cruelty-free diet.
Since then I have never stopped cooking. I created TheDorkyFrench in 2017 and I am always learning more about creating delicious recipes for you. Joining the Food Blogger Pro community has been a huge help and boost in the process of growing my website. So if you are interested in starting or growing your food blog, I could never recommend Food Blogger Pro enough.
