What are viennoiseries?

The word “viennoiserie” – French for “things from Vienna” – describes a category of fine pastries which includes croissants and pains au chocolat. While the pastries were invented in Vienna, they were perfected and became prominent in France after an Austrian military official opened a bakery in Paris.

TheDorkyFrench vegan bakery offers 2 traditional viennoiseries – made vegan:

Manufactured by hand and with love, in a home kitchen.

  1. The croissant
  2. The pain au chocolat.

To match the authentic taste of a French croissant, we use traditional French flours and premium, fair-trade ingredients. In a 100% plant-based kitchen. Our butter, which highly contribute to making our pastries so delightful, is organic and contains no palm oil.

The aim is to provide you with a very satisfying breakfast, while caring for your wellbeing and our planet.

Our pastries will be delivered on the weekends, as of Saturday the 12th of February 2022, by VeganWheels, a Glasgow-based delivery service whose profit is donated to an animal charity.

The packaging we use is made from materials that are sustainably sourced, renewable and lower carbon.
