Our Story
We opened on the 22nd of June 2023 - the takeaway plant-based French bakery and cafe is located at 39 Parnie Street, Glasgow, G15RJ. We bring a taste of France to Scotland while pursuing environmental sustainability.
Launched in February 2022 in a home kitchen, we are a Glasgow-based micro vegan bakery specialising in the creation of quality artisan viennoiseries.
What are viennoiseries??
French for “things from Vienna”, “viennoiserie” describes a category of fine pastries which includes croissants and pains au chocolat. While the pastries were invented in Vienna, they were perfected and became prominent in France after an Austrian military official opened a bakery in Paris.
Our story started with…
…a French woman missing the quality and freshness of pastries in her home country. Marlène, founder and Pastry Chef, made it her mission to create a vegan version of these products and to make them available for the people of Glasgow and its surroundings.
